Innovation from research: patents and new standards
There's also progress in research: In response to a customer request for the dechlorination of pyrolysis oil, a process was developed for which a patent has now been filed. "Chlorine contamination of pyrolysis oils is a well-known problem. A functional and cost-effective dechlorination process is a real breakthrough – and we are now working on implementing it on a large-scale." Many of the issues in this area are new and, to date, poorly standardized, which presents not only a challenge but also an opportunity for the enespa laboratory.“We have the opportunity to set standards and help shape norms,” says Paparo.
"My goal is to ensure that pyrolysis products can be analyzed reliably and in a standardized manner in the future. The road to achieving this is long, but we have already gained a great deal of experience, refined methods, and are constantly expanding our expertise."
Competence that grows with every task
The expertise in the enespa laboratory is developing rapidly. With every new analysis, every customer project, and every research question, our expertise grows, both in technology and consulting. "Today, we can provide our customers with very specific information about feasibility and implementation potential – and this will become even more valuable in the future."
