50 employees - one common mission: the fight against plastic pollution in nature. Each and every one of them a specialist in their field. Together we work on new, innovative solutions. We undertake research and development, are pioneers and shape the industry as first movers. Praise for my employees.
In the beginning, there were only the two of us and we had neither employees nor business premises. My earliest ally and now longest-standing employee is Stefan Abele. I had the pleasure of working with him even before enespa. Back then, we set up a small, efficient preform plant for PET bottles in southern Italy. Stefan Abele was a chance acquaintance. What began a long time ago in Munich is still contributing to enespa's success today.
For the first few years of enespa, we worked with subcontractors on the first prototype of our thermolysis system. That worked well for a while. But then, when I was writing my first email at 6 a.m. and the last at 1 a.m., I decided to hire someone. My first employee was Prisca S. She was and still is an enormous support. I can no longer imagine my work without her. I am glad that she will continue to support me after her retirement - with a reduced workload.
Next, we needed employees in sales. Two of them, Thanusan T. and Thomas S. have been with us ever since. They are employed by us or work for us on a contract basis. Another good man from those early days has just taken a step in a new direction and is building up his own business.
In the beginning, everyone worked from home: I worked between the kitchen and living room of my flat in Appenzell, Switzerland. That was necessary, because the money went directly into the further development of the machines and wages. However, without a shared office, working together was sometimes a bit of a challenge for all of us. It wouldn't have worked without the great flexibility of my employees.
Although we now have business premises, we still have the option of working from home. There are also employees like Peter K., Project Manager,, der in Spanien lebt.
Due to legal regulations, we can only sell bonds to persons domiciled in Switzerland, Germany, Austria or Liechtenstein.
The road to a circular economy for plastics is a long one. However, we are not travelling this path alone, but together with you. Celebrate with us when we come one step closer to our goal.
