We are a think tank for solutions in the field of pollutants. However, anyone working on innovations must first take many a rocky path before finding the right one. The first difficulties have been safely negotiated: we have gone from a start-up to a young company.
2024
Expansion of business areas
- Planning, development and creation of the official applications for a tyre pyrolysis plant with an initial capacity of 72 tonnes/day.
- Aufbau unseres Hightech- und Forschungs-Labors.
- Further development and production of oil refining systems in Tangstedt.
- Start AdBlue® production in Bernsdorf with a capacity of up to 100 tonnes/day.
- Aufbau einer pyrolysis-Anlage und Verknüpfung mit unserem Labor. Dadurch sind wir in der Lage sämtliche Werte direkt messen und bestimmen zu können.
- Eröffnung unseres Standorts in Tangstedt bei Hamburg. Zusammenführung der Abteilungen Anlagenbau, Forschung & Entwicklung sowie Projektleitung & Engineering.
- Weiterentwicklung der Marke enespa und Launch eines neuen Web-Auftritts.
- Personelle Erweiterungen mit Schlüsselpersonen in Finanzen und HR.
2023
Utilisation of synergies
- enespa-grt innovation gmbh moves from Aalen to Tangstedt near Hamburg.
- The first plastics recycling plant goes to Australia.
- Development and proof of concept for our plastics recycling plant with a capacity of 5 tonnes/day.
- Start of the "Project America": foundation of the company.
- Expansion of oil refinement at the German site in Hoyerswerda.
- The enespa team (enespa Group) starts the new year with 50 employees.
New business areas
Foundation of enespa-grt innovation gmbh.
We start plant production in Aalen and bring in design engineers. We develop the first prototypes in the field of plastic recycling.
Development of the oil refining business segment in Hoyerswerda.
Benjamin Richters becomes a member of the Board of Directors and Chief Technology Officer of enespa ag.
Development of a partnership with BioDesign Foundation.
First sale of oil
- First oil sales by enespa oil gmbh from three pilot plants with a capacity of 1 tonne/day.
- Foundation of enespa technologies ag Appenzell.
- Foundation of enespa oil gmbh.
- Plastic recycling test operation with the first "WastX P1" system.

2019
- The financial restructuring of enespa ag is successfully completed.
2018
- The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) blocks the activities of enespa ag.
- enespa ag issues its first bond.
2014 – 2016
- Research & Development and construction of a pyrolysis plant in Bulgaria.
2012 – 2013
- Further development of enespa ag in a partnership with Stefan Abele.
